Google certification is dead. Long live Google Partners   no comments

Some changes to the way in which Google certify AdWords specialists has been introduced. One of the most interesting parts at an individual level is that it is now free to take the exam (rather than $50 a pop previously).

Agency feedback hasn’t been all positive, but there’s definitely some good comments too – particularly on support levels. Agencies will be able to manage their Partners account and individual certifications from the same account. You won’t be able to use your old badge from November 13th onwards

It should see a few more entry level people going through the process, which can only be a good thing. Not that $50 was a massive problem, but if it encourages people to start studying, knowing that barrier isn’t there, that could help.
