Research Everything
Make sure you have researched the company thoroughly. Take a good look over their website and try to gain a good understanding of their business. If the company has numerous divisions or works in a number of different marketplaces, make sure you have a reasonable awareness of these and not just those relevant to you. If you aren’t sure about a technology – use Google or to research it.
Try to find a company statement and comprehend their objectives and future plans.
If the company has posted an annual report, read that too – it should provide useful information on their turnover and potential for growth.
Find out who their competitors are. Who else works in their marketplace ?
Finally, make sure you know all of the above about your current employer. Interviewers are almost certain to ask.
